The Lakehead Institution Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships are intended for non-Canadian students who are beginning their studies immediately after high school or who are transferring from a college or institution overseas. Specifically, overseas applicants for the 2025–2026 academic year are the target audience for these grants. Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships are as follows:
- Non-Canadian Applicants: The scholarship is open to non-Canadian students.
- Academic Performance: Applicants should have a strong academic record from their previous school, whether from high school or another college/university abroad.
- Program Eligibility: Applicants must be entering Year 1, 2, or 3 of a minimum 4-year undergraduate degree program.
- GPA Requirements:
- 90% average: Full scholarship renewal.
- 80.0% – 89.9% average: Adjusted scholarship of $7,500 per year for the following academic years.
- 80% average: To maintain the scholarship each year.
- Scholarship Duration: The scholarship can be renewed for up to 4 years or until the degree is completed, whichever comes first.
- Domestic Fee Status: If the recipient’s status changes to domestic, the scholarship will be reassessed according to domestic fee regulations.
- Academic English Program: The scholarship applies to undergraduate tuition only after successful completion of Lakehead University’s Academic English Program (if required).
