As part of their experience, interns will create at least one policy brief or creative work (depending on the scope of the internship) to be published on the Al Qasimi Foundation website. During the internship, you will be given furnished housing, local transportation, and a small stipend to help with your living expenses. The intern is responsible for plane tickets and other fees.

Eligibility

Minimum eligibility requirements for applicants seeking internship positions:

1. Applicants must be current undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited university with satisfactory academic standing. Recent grads (within the previous two years) will also be considered.
2. Applicants must have a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 85 or an IELTS score of 6.5 if English is not their first language.
3. Applicants must have coursework or degrees in fields related to the Al Qasimi Foundation Internship 2024, including education, public health, urban planning and development, economic development, food access, and public policy. Students with experience in other areas, such as public relations, multimedia, or translation, may also be chosen based on the Foundation’s needs for special initiatives.

Selection Criteria

1. If students meet the minimum eligibility requirements listed above, they are encouraged to apply for internship positions. Interns are chosen based on merit, as determined by (1) academic achievement, (2) the quality and professionalism of application materials, and (3) how well applicants’ interests connect with current Al Qasimi Foundation Internship 2024 initiatives.
2. Students’ statements summarizing prior experiences, education, and internship-relevant skills are taken seriously.
