BUas Bachelor Scholarships provide chances for students to obtain financial aid while making sure that their overall study time doesn’t surpass the program’s typical duration. A specialized, global center for higher education and research, Breda University of Applied Sciences offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. About 7,000 students attend our small, secure, and environmentally friendly campus in Breda, the Netherlands. We collaborate on worthwhile projects with people from around the world’s industry in both our research and education.

Scholarship Overview

The purpose of the BUas Bachelor Scholarship is to assist non-EU/EEA students who will be covering the entire cost of tuition for BUas bachelor’s programs. With this scholarship, the first year’s tuition at BUas (which covers the non-EU/EEA tuition charge) will be reduced by €3,000.
These students are eligible to receive a tuition fee reduction of €1,500 over the course of consecutive academic years. This is feasible for a maximum of years that do not surpass the typical academic program duration. In order to continue with the BUas Bachelor Scholarship, the student must have achieved at least 48 ECs during the preceding academic year.

Benefits

  • The purpose of the BUas Bachelor Scholarship is to assist non-EU/EEA students who will be covering the entire cost of tuition for BUas bachelor’s programs.
  • With this scholarship, the first year’s tuition at BUas (which covers the non-EU/EEA tuition charge) will be reduced by €3,000.
  • These students are eligible to receive a tuition fee reduction of €1,500 over the course of consecutive academic years.
  • There is a time limit on how long you can prolong your study, and it cannot be longer than the typical length of your program.
    • For instance, you can only prolong your program for a maximum of four years, not longer, if it typically lasts four years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Has non-EU/EEA nationality and will cover the hefty tuition costs associated with non-EU/EEA students;
  • Will be enrolled for the whole academic year as a first-year student at BUas;
  • Satisfies the visa requirements for foreign nationals entering and residing in the Netherlands;
  • Will promptly submit all documents requested by the Student Office for BUas student registration (such as a copy of their residence permit);
  • Has not received another scholarship that would have paid for all of their expenses;
  • will only receive a €1,500 scholarship for consecutive academic years after earning at least 48 ECTS in the previous academic year;
  • will only receive the scholarship for a duration that does not exceed the maximum length of the regular study program; for example, a student who has a one-year study delay will receive the scholarship for a maximum of four years;
  • will adhere to all BUas rules and values as outlined in the student statute, the code of conduct, the examination regulations (OER), and the study handbook, among other documents.

Documents Required to Apply

  • An equivalent of the Dutch pre-university level (vwo) or upper general secondary education (havo) diplomas, follow link non-Dutch diplomas compared with the Dutch educational system.
  • This is not the complete diploma list, if you not found your diploma in list we still recommend you to apply
  • English language requirements:
    • Cambridge English Qualification: B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency
    • IELTS: Overall band of 6.0
    • TOEFL: Minimum score of 80 internet-based

English language test scores are not required if:

  • You are a Dutch havo or vwo graduate who holds a regionally recognized US high school diploma, an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, a GCE A(S) level certificate from AQA, Pearson, OCR, or Cambridge, or a European Baccalaureate certificate (English Language 1 or 2) as proof of your educational background.
  • You have earned a diploma that is listed among the diplomas compiled by Nuffic, and one of your exam subjects was

Application Procedure

  • The student enrolls in a BUas course of study prior to the relevant deadline. The BUas Bachelor Scholarship application deadline is May 1, 2025. Students will receive further information after this date; the chronology is included in this document.
  • Applications will only be taken into consideration if the student has submitted the required paperwork and filled out the entire application for a study program. These will also be utilized to evaluate the candidate’s quality and eligibility for the scholarship.
